paint the pavement Pittsburgh
To encourage community building and public art as a means to transform roadway public space into neighborhood assets, Paint the Pavement is a city program that allows mural painting on public streets.
Paint the Pavement is a project through different cities to bring neighborhoods together, encourage artistic talent, and create safer traffic with the use of large street murals.
With the project's future prospective in Pittsburgh, I created a branding identity, instructional booklet, and promotional materials to make the content appealing to the community.
Because Pittsburgh has a stereotype of being a grey city, I wanted to emphasize the concept "make your city vibrant". To focus on brightening up the city with an exciting voice, I used various fun, irregular shapes and colors for visual identity.
Coming together to paint the pavement and make Pittsburgh vibrant, communities will facilitate a sense of place-making and interacting with others, empowered by the idea of making a difference.
